The preliminary AEV design tested by Group F was a fairly generic lateral two-propeller design using only the parts provided in the AEV kit. The schematic for this AEV is shown above. This AEV design was found to be somewhat inefficient, as can be determined from the power test graph below.

The AEV was tested using the same code as used for the coasting test, and data was acquired for power and distance vs time as shown in the graph above. When compared with the data for the other AEV design, it was clear to see that the final design was the more efficient and effective of the two.
