AEV Project Approach

Project Overview: The purpose of the project is to create a small AEV to carry passengers from Linden to Easton and Polaris. The vehicle will be self-driven, monorail-suspended, and powered on electricity.

The AEV must traverse the track safely and perform a set of actions, while attempting to remain as efficient and robust as possible.  Additionally, there are a number of fiscal requirements to be met in regards to production costs, energy usage, and all other expenditures related to the project.

Group F decided that efficiency and safety would be the priorities in the completion of the project. As such, inspiration was borrowed from real-life vehicles such as trains and planes for the final design.
