The graph below shows the initial codes that were used in the first runs of the AEV. The codes that were used to collect this data are below the graphs and are the same names of the lines within the graph.
- Perfomrance Analysis 1 and 2 Power versus Distance
- Perfomrance Analysis 1 and 2 Power versus Time
- AEV Perfomrance 1 Code
- AEV Perfomrance 2 Code
The two plots on the power versus time graph of the two different codes are similar in how they peak and fall the only difference is that the performance analysis 2 code had more power outputted in the coding function. The beginning of the both graphs demonstrate the acceleration of the AEV over three seconds. It then runs at a constant speed for one second and then a slower speed for two seconds. The peaks of both graphs show the reverse of the motors and then running at a constant speed for 2 seconds after the reverse. The power is then shut off to all motors after the two seconds which is the last fall of the graph and no more power is put into the AEV.
The second performance analysis was the second code that was edited from the provided code to increase the amount of power that the propellers would output. As seen from the power versus distance graph, the original code had no impact on the AEV to travel any distance. The second code that was inputted shows actual results of distance collected and showed a greater amount of power exerted through the AEV. The large spike that was in the middle of the graph around 0.33 meters is when the AEV went into reverse to start traveling in the other direction which required a large amount of power to switch directions.
