Testing Methodology

Power tests

  1. Prep the vehicle for testing.
    1. Reflectance sensor test
  2. Code the vehicle to run at 20% motor capacity for 50 marks
    1. Collect the data from the trial into an excel file
    2. Run this three times
  3. Repeat step 2 for 25% and 30% motor capacity for a total of 9 trials.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for 100 marks.
  5. Make graphs and analyze the findings to find the most efficient motor capacity for the vehicle.

Quantity tests

  1. Prep the vehicle for testing.
    1. Reflectance sensor test.
  2. Code the vehicle to run 1 central motor at 30% motor capacity for 50 marks
    1. Collect the data from the trial into an excel file
    2. Run this three times
  3. Repeat step 2 for 2 motors for a total of 6 trials.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for 100 marks.
  5. Make graphs and analyze the findings to find the most efficient motor capacity for the vehicle.
