Meeting Minutes

Day 1:

Date: 1/10/19

Time: 11:10 AM – 12:30 PM

Attendees: All group members present (Brayden, Lars, Nicholas, and Sean)

Details:

  • Website creation was relegated to Group E within the company.
  • Group A members addressed Scenario 1 detailed within the Preliminary R&D manual.
  • Each group member was responsible for constructing their own lines of code to aid in the understanding of the programming language.
  • Codes were successfully uploaded to the Adruino microcontroller and tested.
  • Contact information was exchanged between the group members to coordinate future meet-up times.

Objectives for Next Meeting:

  • Familiarize group members with the MCR content in preparation for the AEV technical project.

Day 2:

Date: 1/17/19

Time: 11:10 AM – 12:30 PM

Attendees: All group members present (Brayden, Lars, Nicholas, and Sean).

Details:

  • Lars and Nicholas Constructed the AEV using the 3D model given to replicate.
  • Sean preformed a reflective sensor test. It was not working for a while and a TA was needed to assist him. The instructions given were not working.
  • Sean wrote the code as seen in the Codes Used tab for lab 2.
  • Brayden documented and checked what was present in Group A’s AEV kit and filled out the kit Checklist.
  • Nicholas started the Team Working Agreement.

Objectives for Next Meeting:

  • Run a reflective sensor test and set up the AEV.

Day 3:

Date: 1/31/19

Time: 11:10 AM – 12:30 PM

Attendees: All group members present (Brayden, Lars, Nicholas, and Sean).

Details:

  • Lars set up the AEV
  • Brayden wrote the code as seen on in the Codes Used tab for lab 3.
  • Sean ran the Reflective Sensor test. It continued to be finicky, so he wrote down his own process, so that he will no longer need a TA’s help and can do it on his own.
  • Nicholas used the sample data and ran Data Analysis Tool and created the graphs seen in the Codes Used tab for lab 3. He used the sample data because Group A ran out of time because the reflective sensors were not working properly.

Objectives for Next Meeting:

  • Using the AEV designs, run the AEV on the track and see which one is the most efficient.

Day 4:

Date: 2/7/19

Time: 11:10 AM – 12:30 PM

Attendees: All group members present

Details:

  • Group members presented their model to the group
  • Each design was scored against the Sample AEV in order to see how good they are so a design can be decided upon
  • Lars’s design scored the highest but since his design included a custom part, it was not included into consideration. Therefore, Brayden’s design was chosen as the design to use.
