For Final PR

Meeting 17: 4/4/19

Location: lab (room 224)

Attendees: Megan, Ryan, Devon, Michael

Time: 11:10 am

During this lab we tried to arrange the AEV to make it more energy efficient. That didn’t work because it cost more than it would save us in the long run. We continued testing and coding for the final performance test. We used the data from what we have researched to improve the cost efficiency of the AEV. We began working on the draft of the power point slide for the final oral presentation.

During the next meeting we will get recommendations on how to improve the power point slide and we will work on making it better. We will also continue to test and code for the final performance test. We might try to start using the servo in the next meeting if all goes well. However, it won’t be our top priority.

Meeting 18: 4/8/19

Location: lab (room 308)

Attendees: Megan, Ryan, Devon, Michael

Time: 10:20 am

During this meeting we continued to code the AEV to finish the performance test. We ran into a few problems with breaking the AEV at the end of the track. We took this time to test some different methods of breaking to see what would work the best. Once the coding was done we tried to modify the code to make it more energy efficient and time efficient. We did this by trying to get the AEV to coast down the last incline to reduce the amount of joules used during the last quarter to close to zero.

During the next meeting we will continue to modify the AEV to improve the energy and cost efficiency.

Meeting 19: 4/10/19

Location: lab (room 308)

Attendees: Megan, Ryan, Devon, Michael

Time: 10:20 am

During this meeting we finished coding our AEV to complete the final performance test. We began working on making the AEV more efficient, however this was not the top priority, completing the course was as the cost of the AEV doesn’t count against us when grading.

During the next meeting we will complete the final performance test and our data will be extracted for the final grade. We will also begin working on the final oral presentation poster, final CDR, and final website update. The final oral presentation poster will take precedence as it is due on Monday.

Meeting 20: 4/11/19

Location: lab (room 224)

Attendees: Megan, Ryan, Devon, Michael

Time: 11:10 am

During this meeting we tried to make the AEV more energy efficient by breaking it before it goes down the hills to conserve energy. We then did another final performance test to try and decrease the cost of the run and try to get a better grade.

After this meeting we will start to work on the final oral presentation poster for Monday. We need to analyse our data for our final run so we can include it on the poster.

Meeting 21: 4/15/19

Location: lab (room 308)

Attendees: Megan, Ryan, Devon, Michael

Time: 10:20 am

During this meeting we turned in the AEV. We also started working on a script for the final oral presentation as well as worked on the final website update and CDR.

During the next meeting we will present. This will be the final meeting.
