The Ohio State University: College of Engineering

Membership

Why Join:

Members of the Ohio State ASCE student chapter are able to network with other students, professors, and professionals within civil engineering.  Speaker events give students the opportunity to hear from professionals on a variety of topics that help prepare them for life after graduation.  More information about our speaker events can be found here.  The chapter also has socials, intramural sports teams, and community outreach events throughout the year.  These are all great opportunities to meet new people and to get more involved.  Project teams are another way to meet new people and gain valuable experience, and membership is required for all team participants.  Each team goes to the Ohio Valley Student Conference to compete against other schools.  More information about the teams can be found here.

How to Join:

Come to one of our meetings, and fill out the new member Google Form while you’re there!  If you have any questions please contact our recruiter Bassim Atassi (atassi.10@osu.edu).  To join National ASCE for free, please go here.

Chapter Constitution:

The constitution details the rules and procedures that our chapter abides by.  The student chapter constitution can be found as follows: ASCE Constitution 2018

Hi! I’m a civil engineering major here at OSU and would love to get involved. Is the only step to join to attend a general body meeting? Thanks!
