Crockpot Cinnamon Apples

Ingredients:

  •  5 baking apples (Rome, Granny Smith – whatever is in season)
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2/3 tsp cinnamon
  • Optional toppings: non-fat vanilla yogurt, whole grain cereal

Instructions:

  1. Wash, peel, core, and cut apples into wedges.
  2. Sprinkle apples with brown sugar and cinnamon. Toss to coat.
  3. Place apple slices in crockpot. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours, stirring halfway through cook time.
  4. Serve with optional fat-free vanilla yogurt and whole grain cereal.
