Funding of $1M for faculty, staff and student engagement

The Connect and Collaborate Grants Program incentivizes faculty, staff, students and their public/private sector community partners to submit concept proposals which have the potential to catalyze engaged, collaborative teaching and research activities benefiting the community and university. Grants up to $100,000 are available. Concept proposals are due Monday, October 3. An information session will be held on Wednesday, September 14 from 9-10 a.m. in the Research Commons.

I-Corps@Ohio Program RFP Release

The I-Corps@Ohio program is a statewide grant program developed to assist faculty, staff and students from Ohio universities, colleges and community colleges in validating the market potential of technologies and launching start-up companies. The program is managed by Ohio State’s TEC Institute and fully funded by the Ohio Department of Higher Education. I-Corps@Ohio is modeled after and approved by the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) successful Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program, which has been proven to increase innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry collaboration. $1 million in funding for faculty, student and staff engagement

More than $1 million from multiple sources is available through the Connect and Collaborate Grants Program. These diverse grants provide funding opportunities for Ohio State faculty, students and staff to catalyze engaged collaborative teaching and research aligned with the Discovery Themes. An information session is scheduled for Thursday (11/12) 11 a.m.-noon in 110A Hale Hall or remotely via Carmen Connect at carmenconnect.osu.edu.

Albert Schweitzer Fellowships available

Community service-minded graduate and professional students are encouraged to apply for 2016-17 Columbus-Athens Albert Schweitzer Fellowships. Fellows partner with community organizations on yearlong service projects to address social and health-related needs in Franklin and Athens counties. Apply by Monday (2/8). Attend an information session in 385 Bricker Hall on Monday (11/2) 3-4 p.m. or Friday (11/13) 1-2 p.m.
