There is more benefit to our students who participate in civic and community engagement activities than we are aware. Join H. Anne Weiss, Director of Assessment with Campus Compact of Indiana and Dr. Kristin Norris, Director of Assessment with the Office of Community Engagement at Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis (IUPUI) for the Assessing the Hidden Outcomes of Community Engagement pre-conference workshop on August 3. Participants will be introduced to and discuss the many outcomes of civic engagement activities and be guided through addressing and identifying these outcomes. Learn more.Pre-conference registration fee is $100 for Compact members, $125 for non-members. A free reception with the presenters & Dr. Seligsohn will follow the session.

Campus Compact President Andrew Seligsohn, Ph.D., will kickoff the August 4 conference with the keynote address, followed by breakout sessions for beginners and experts as well as those in between. View the breakout session grid here, and the session descriptions are available here.

Students invited to apply for President’s Prize recognition

As graduating seniors this spring, Margaret Griffin of Cincinnati and KayMesha Knox, a Columbus native, learned they were the first-ever President’s Prize recipients. Each received a living stipend, startup funding and access to faculty mentors and other accomplished experts. Applications are being accepted through Friday (7/14) to be considered for President’s Prize recognition, which is bestowed on exceptional students who are committed to social change.
