The Ohio Research and Innovative Practice Forums and Poster Session provide an opportunity for those performing practice-related research AND those transforming pharmacy practice through novel services and interventions to share their findings and experiences with pharmacists throughout Ohio during the 139th OPA Annual Conference, April 21-23, 2017.

We invite pharmacists, residents, fellows, and students to submit their research and/or practice innovations. Effort will be made to honor preferences for research and innovative practice submissions. However, the selection committee reserves the right to make the final determination of category for presentation.

Research Submissions
Investigators working on research projects pertaining to pharmacy practice, pharmacy-focused scientific research, economic/social/administrative sciences, and pharmacy education will be showcased during the Ohio Research Forum and Poster session.  Students, residents, practitioners, educators and scientists are invited to submit completed research or work in progress (if results are anticipated to be ready for presentation at the time of the meeting).

To submit your Research abstract for consideration in the Ohio Research Forum or Poster Session, please click here.  There will be up to seven research projects chosen for the podium presentation.  Remaining abstracts accepted will be presented as part of the Poster Session.

Innovative Practice Submissions
Innovative pharmacy practices and opportunities in Ohio will be showcased in the Innovative Practice Forum and Poster Session.  Practitioners from a variety of practice sites will present exciting practice examples, and share how they have successfully implemented services and overcome barriers to offer these patient-centered services.  Original methods of development and process, including optimizing available resources, will be presented to provide participants with ideas to enhance their own practices.

To submit your Innovative Practice abstract for consideration in the podium or poster presentation, please click here. There will be up to four innovative practices chosen for the Innovative Practice Forum CE session.  Remaining abstracts accepted will be presented as part of the Poster Session.

Friday, February 24, 2017 is the deadline to submit abstracts.  Notification of acceptance and presentation format/time will be sent via email to the primary author 3 to 4 weeks prior to the presentation.
