Schweitzer Fellowship Details

Thank you to everyone who came to informational session about the Columbus-Athens Schweitzer Fellows Program, a chapter of the national Schweitzer Fellowship. The program was recorded and can be viewed at this link.

The Columbus-Athens Schweitzer Fellows Program seeks to build leaders in service who are dedicated to working with the underserved.  From May 2018 until April 2019 Schweitzer Fellows will design and implement 200-hour community service projects that address local unmet health-related needs and participate in other Fellowship activities.

  • 12-18 graduate and professional students will be selected from OSU, Ohio University, and other Columbus-area colleges
  • Fellows can be from a broad range of disciplines including the health sciences, social work, divinity studies, law, education, engineering, and others
  • Open to students enrolled full or part-time in a graduate and professional degree program
  • Fellows receive a $3,000 stipend in two installments
  • Applications are due February 13, 2018
