Good Clinical Practices (GCP)

Good Clinical Practices (GCP) training is required for all PIs receiving NIH funds (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-16-148.html).

The module “Good Clinical Practice and ICH” can be found on the CITI site: http://go.osu.edu/citi

While the NIH policy on Good Clinical Practices is an expectation for researchers involved in the conduct, oversight, and management of clinical trials, GCP serves as the highest scientific, ethical, and practical standard for clinical research.  As such, the CCTS requires all investigators who wish to apply for CCTS services and funding (such as voucher support) have completed GCP training.  Compliance with GCP training requirements demonstrates the commitment of the CCTS and OSU to providing public assurance that the rights and safety of research participants are protected and that the research data generated at our institution is of the highest quality and reliability.
