Getting an Account

To request a NEW REDCap account, please complete the form at the link below:

**This form is designed to be completed by a user already added to the project you will need access to, with USER RIGHTS access; this is typically a user in the Administrator role type**

If requesting YOUR FIRST new project, you can fill out the new user form yourself, but you must also submit a new project request simultaneously, as all REDCap accounts must be linked to a project.

If you are requesting access to REDCap Grove, you can also complete the new user form yourself. There is a section to indicate you are requesting access to REDCap Grove and you will request a GRAY account.

NEW REDCap USER

Projects on the Scarlet server require an OSU Medical Center (OSUMC) username. If you do not have an OSUMC username, please complete the form at the link below.

Completion of this form provides us with information we need to submit the request for a guest account on your behalf. This form should only be used to request OSUMC access for REDCap, not other medical center programs.

Note: For users requesting access to HEAL, please select the “OSU ID Only (non-OSUMC and non-FAST) (ex: HEAL)” option.

Local Project Administrators: Even if you routinely request guest accounts for other purposes, for guest account access to REDCap, we ask that your users complete this form and allow our team to do the guest account request on their behalf.

GUEST ACCOUNT REQUEST

NOTE: The University requires background checks for guest account access to systems such as REDCap that contain S4 data as defined by the OSU Institutional Data Policy.  Information on which background check to complete and instructions are included in the above intake form.

NOTE: The Scarlet and Gray instances of REDCap have not been validated for compliance with Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 11 and may not be used for eConsent and/or electronic data capture in FDA-regulated research or for any other research with requirements for which REDCap at OSU have not been validated.

If your project requires a 21 CFR Part 11 capable instance of REDCap, please contact rit-edc@osumc.edu.
