I am originally from Bellefontaine, OH, where I graduated from Benjamin Logan High School in 2009. I went on to the University of Dayton, and I graduated in 2013. During my time at UD, I earned a dual degree in both biology and integrated science education. My primary activities while at UD included doing ecological research under Dr. Ryan McEwan and being a River Steward. After graduating, I was a high school science teacher. My first year I taught physics, physical science, and AP physics. My second and third years I taught biology and a course I designed that was one semester of ecology and one semester of genetics. After three years of teaching, I am excited to be back on the other side as a student. I am excited to share with you my experiences as an optometry student!
