Train Crew

Jones, Brown, Smith, and Robinson had been working on the Capitol Limited, which travels across northern Ohio on its route between Chicago and Washington DC. The four crew members were, not necessarily respectively, the engineer, a dining car chef, a conductor, and a porter in one of the sleeping cars. On their day off, they wore, again not necessarily respectively, red, blue, black, and green polo shirts.

You are hereby told that the engineer beat Brown at billiards, and that Smith and the conductor often played golf with the men wearing the black and the green shirts. Jones and the porter both rather disliked the man in the green shirt (though they got along with him all right), but this was not the dining car chef as he was wearing a red shirt. So who is what, and who wore what?
