How to add yourself to a wait list:

Please put yourself on the wait lists for the courses that you are wanting to get in (both online and, if applicable, face-to-face). Uncheck the box that says “Show Open Classes Only”—this will allow you to view classes that have a wait list. Follow the steps below to add yourself to a wait listed class. We use the wait list to determine demand/need for courses, and this is how we justify opening up other sections of courses, or enrolling students from the wait list into these classes. Once those decisions are made, students on a wait list will be either placed into the section they requested, moved into a different section, or provided additional communication regarding the course.  For your convenience, there is a Steps to Wait List (PDF) and video on how to add yourself to the wait list.

It is also important to note that if you are trying to register for an “Online class” you will not be able to enroll yourself into those classes unless your sub plan is designated as the “Online Sub plan.” This is due to the fact that these courses are set aside for our online students. Please follow the instructions and add yourself to the wait list if you’d like an online class. We try our best to accommodate each student’s request.

Thank you to those of you who have already let us know about your extenuating circumstances as to why getting into an online course or two is necessary for your continued timely matriculation through our program!

1. Find the specific class number and add it to your cart. Click enter.

2. Confirm the class you want to add and find the button at the top right stating “Wait list if class is full.”

3. Check the button “Wait list if class is full.” Click next.

4. You will see that the course has been successfully added to your shopping cart. The yellow/orange triangle shows you that you have been added to the waitlist. Click “proceed to step 2 of 3.”

5. Confirm the class and click “finish enrolling.”

6. You will reach the View Results page and see you have been enrolled on the wait list. It will show your waitl ist number; in this case, the student is 4th on the wait list. Remember, you will not be notified if you’re admitted off the wait list – please check your BuckeyeLink regularly to see if you are!
