Making a Greek American Archive
This summer I have created the website Archiving Greek America, which features Greek American articles, magazines, newsletters, pamphlets, posters, postcards, photographs, brochures, newspapers, community publications, catalogues, LPs, CDs, letters, announcements, and notes that I have been accumulating through decades of research. This personal archive of largely public documents covers the recent past between the early 1990s, when I started graduate work, up to 2010 or so, when I started e-filing most of the relevant resources. The archive will be updated regularly.

Emily Pandis ’19 with President Pavlopoulos

“I am from both Columbus, Ohio and Corfu, Greece and I just graduated from Ohio State University,” declared Emily Pandis. While living in both countries exposed her to both the best and darkest realities of life in Greece, “its role on the global playing field was off my radar…my perspective of Greece has been transformed” by the AHIF trip. The experience also taught her about the power she has as an individual, and her constitutional duty and privilege to communicate with Congress about Greece and Cyprus.
