Men’s sexual health isn’t just about erectile function, but also overall sexual function including various aspects like libido, ejaculation, and reproduction. Today’s presentation will kick off our new MedNet21 season and starts a 3-part mini-series on sexual health. For today’s talk on Men’s sexual health focusing on erectile dysfunction, We’ve invited one of Ohio State University’s Urological experts Dr Nicholas Tadros. Nick is an Associate Professor of Urology and is fellowship trained in Andrology and Male Infertility.

Social determinants of health have a huge impact on a person’s life and is a major contributor to health disparities. It includes a wide range of categories such as economic stability, education, healthcare access, neighborhood and built environment AND social and community context. That’s why the US Dept of Health and Human’s services Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion have made social determinants of health a key focus in their Healthy People 2030 objectives. To educate on how social determinants of health impact health outcomes and disease states I’ve invited Dr Kelly Grannan. Kelly is a Med-Peds hospitalist who splits her inpatient time between caring for adults at Ohio State University and kids at Nationwide Childrens Hospital. Additionally she has a masters in public health with clinical interests in Health Equity and Global Health.

But that’s not the only issue. The problem is really bidirectional. Depressed patients with chronic illness, have worse health outcomes. Diabetic patients with depression for example, have lower glycemic control, decreased activity levels, higher weight and higher levels of complication and functional impairment.So today, to discuss the effects of Psychiatric and Behavioral Health Management in Chronic Health Conditions are two of Ohio State University’s Psychiatry experts. Dr. Kevin Johns is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry who specializes in treating patients with chronic medical problems. He also works to create collaborate care models to help non-psychiatric providers such as myself better address their patient’s mental health needs. Dr. Ashleigh Pona has a PhD in clinical psychology and specializes in bariatric psychology and & eating disorders.

Dr. Meena Khan is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and of Neurology, and Dr. Jesse Mindel, who is an Assistant Professor of Neurology.
