Urgent need: First aid volunteers for Pelotonia

First-aid volunteers for Pelotonia are still needed Aug. 7–8 to provide participants with first aid assistance at venue sites and rest stops along the routes. The shifts range from four to six hours, and the scope of care is BLS/First Aid; anyone with BLS training and/or medical background can volunteer. Sites will be equipped with first aid supplies. Opportunities are available both Saturday and Sunday at a variety of locations across the routes. Register as a first aid volunteer at pelotonia.org/register and begin the registration process. Urgent need for blood donations

The entire country is currently experiencing a blood shortage and the situation is especially serious in central Ohio. One donation of a pint of blood can save up to three lives. In central Ohio, some hospitals are approaching critical shortages and may soon have to take steps to conserve blood supplies. Whether you’re a regular blood donor or not, we urge everyone to donate today. When donating blood with Versiti, all donations go to Ohio State.

Blood Battle 2019

Donate blood this Friday for the Ohio State vs. Michigan Blood Battle

Ohio State is participating in its annual Blood Battle with Michigan. Sign up to donate blood this Friday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in 100 Parks Hall.

Everyone who donates will receive a Blood Battle t-shirt and a BOGO coupon for Blaze Pizza, and will be entered into a drawing for two Ohio State vs. Michigan football tickets.

Volunteers April 30 and May 1 for the National Summit on Building Cultures of Well-Being

We are looking for faculty, staff, and students interested in the topic of well-being to support our efforts as a volunteer at our National Summit for Building Healthy Academic Communities on April 30 and May 1. This would be a great opportunity to participate in a national interdisciplinary conference focused on well-being as it pertains to academic institutions.

Volunteer shifts are 3 hours in length and include training ahead of the event, free parking, meal during your shift(s), and the opportunity to attend the remainder of the day(s) that you volunteer.
