Calming Yoga to Help us Open Up

Wednesday, July 21
5 – 5:45 PM

We will gather on the green space in front of University Hospital

Join Medicine & the Arts and Gabbe Health and Wellness as we sponsor moving meditation through a gentle yoga practice with Dr. Maryanna Klatt, Professor, Department of Family and Community Medicine. Please bring your own yoga mat – we will space 6 feet apart. Non vaccinated people are requested to be masked.

This practice will be appropriate for those new to, or experienced with yoga, who would like to experience a moving arts approach to relaxation during this time of opening up after the pandemic in a safe and calm manner. As a community we are creating our forward movement. Join us with your mat, in comfortable clothes, for 45 minutes of gentle movement and grounding. Rest into this re- opening- together! Click below to register. Space will be limited, so please commit to joining us if you register.

This event is part of the Linda C. Stone, MD, Program for Humanism & the Arts in Medicine and is supported by grants from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, the OSU College of Medicine Alumni Society, the Wexner Medical Center Service Board and generous donors to the Medicine and the Arts Fund with the OSU Foundation.

Staff Leadership Series Applications Opening Soon

The Women’s Place will soon be accepting applications for the 2021-2022 Staff Leadership Series (SLS) cohort. SLS expands opportunities for women’s growth, leadership, and power at the university. This leadership initiative is an experiential program that enhances capacity and facilitates skills development to help staff become more effective, innovative, and inclusive leaders. This year-long program creates a pool of potential staff leaders from groups that have been traditionally underrepresented in key leadership roles.

Stay connected to the TWP Leadership Program page for updates on the SLS application window.
