Pharmacy Education Appreciation, Reflection, and Laurels (PEARLS) is an effort to broadly recognize and celebrate the contributions of educators and staff in the College of Pharmacy in 2020-2021. Pearls are created when a piece of sand gets inside an oyster’s shell. Our community of faculty, staff and students has gotten a sand dune’s worth during 2020-2021.
Please reflect on how your colleagues made teaching pearls in the spring, summer and autumn of 2020 as well as spring 2021. Think about what was innovative, inspirational, effective, creative, conscientious or meaningful in the ways they overcame obstacles to promote the learning of our students.
As an expression of gratitude, faculty will receive a gift for the first time they are recognized by a colleague. Some of the PEARLS will be assembled for a presentation at the May faculty meeting. Share teaching PEARLS here.
