The Caregiving Crisis During COVID-19

The disruptions of COVID-19 and the stay-at-home period are impacting women’s job stability and pay, time, personal health, and access to childcare, increasing gender inequities. On June 11, The Women’s Place and President and Provost’s Council on Women (PPCW) hosted a virtual panel focusing on the challenges of working and caring for children, elders, and others during the pandemic. Panelists, including daycare providers, K-12 and university educators, and an elder care specialist, shared resources available through Ohio State and local agencies and non-profits. A recording of the panel is now available on The Women’s Place website.
