Project Statement

In this project, I chose a path starting from Hayes Hall and ending at a location of my choice and then created a map of this pathway, taking the user on a trip to some of the most fantastical locations on North Campus.

Reflection

This project really tested my understanding of design as a more broad and multi-faceted thing that creates experiences. I wanted to take people on a journey to some of the more fantasy-Esq locations on campus and I think the trail, the map itself, and the locations are all great. I enjoyed how the map turned out especially considering the process I went through to make it look aged and crinkled like a real fantasy map. The only thing I really wish I focused more on and experimented with was not relying so hard on the visuals and rather emphasizing the feeling of being in the woods, below Orton Tower, and at the edge of the water of Mirror Lake.
