Lab 02

Lab 02: External SensorsĀ & System Analysis 1

During this lab, the team objectives were to become familiarĀ  with the components to the external sensor hardware, trouble shooting techniques, and use function calls that will help the external sensors with the AEV control. Another part to this lab was to become familiar with propulsion system efficiency, wind tunnel testing equipment, relate AEV to real-life objects, and to link the wind tunnel testing to the AEV model. The team used these skills during the activity, which was to test the reflective sensors, using a code for the process to understand how the reflective sensors correspond with the AEV. This will help the team for the mission by understanding how far the AEV can move based on the marks and power given to the AEV along the monorail track to get the R2D2 units.

The takeaways to this lab were that the AEV could move in different ways based on the program given to the Arduino by the user to move into that position. The team also learned how to appropriately create function callsĀ  for the external sensors and use the troubleshooting techniques in order for us to complete the mission.
