Team F performed a Battery Testing experiment to test the voltage drop and distance traveled between runs. The battery started at 8.42 volts before any trials were performed. The figures below depict the results of running five trials. It was observed that as the voltage in the battery decreased, the distance the AEV traveled also decreased.
The team also performed the same battery tests but with the caboose connected to the AEV. A similar relationship between battery voltage and distance traveled was observed. When the battery had a higher voltage, the AEV tended to travel further. The battery voltage began at 8.42 volts in this experiment as well. The following figures present the data gathered with the caboose.
