First Concept – Drones System

This solution is formed by intelligent trash cans and drones.

Trash can:

The trash can is composed by two parts. The trash can itself and a plate for the transfer the trash bag to the drone. Insider the trash can, there will be two sensors, one for the weight and the other for the height of the trash. Also there will be a piston to squeeze the trash inside the trash can and a piston for push the trash bag out of the trash can. In the transport area, there will be a conveyor belt for moving the trash bag, and a marker for drones to locate the trash can. The trash can will inform the drone to come in several occasion:

  1. If the height sensor finds out that the trash is more than 3/4 of the tr
  2. ash can, the piston will start to squeeze the trash, if after the squeeze the height is still higher than 3/4 of the trash can, the trash ca
    n will inform the drone to come, pack the trash bag, and then push the trash bag to the transport part and change a new trash bag.
  3. If the weight sensor finds the weight is near the max capability of the drone, the trash can will inform the drone to come, pack the trash bag, and then push the trash bag to the transport part and change a new trash bag.
  4. If the weight is sudden over the max capability of the drone, the trash can will inform the control center to send people to take the trash bag.

When the trash bag is needed to move to the transport area, the door of it will open and the piston on the inner-wall of the trash can will push it out to the area with conveyor belt.

Drone:

The drone also contain two parts, the drone itself and a carrier for trash bag. This two part will be separate, and combine together when they need to get the trash bag. The drone is similar to normal drone except it have a hook to connect the drone to the carrier.

For the carrier, it have a door and the shape of it can match with the transport area of the trash can. Once the drone reach the trash can and landed to the transport area, the door of the carrier will open and the conveyor belt on the trash can will start to move the trash bag into the carrier. After the trash bag is loaded, the door of the carrier will close and the drone will leave the trash can and move the trash bag away.

In this concept, it meet the gains of that need less frequency and less employ to clean up and solve the pains that smelly spilled garbage, spilled liquid garbage, negative judge about campus, more time and energy to clean overflow trashcan.
