Our Mission for the Smart City Challenge
Our mission is to determine the best possible AEV to implement into the city of Columbus. Through research and collaboration with other teams, we plan to design an AEV that will be more efficient than a typical vehicle. The main focus of Group O is to research how the placement of motors effects the efficiency and how the efficiency differs based on letting the AEV coast to a stop or adding a supplemental brake.
About Our Group
Our group is comprised of engineers with a wide array of skills. There are two mechanical engineers to design and build the AEV, one electrical engineer to write the code and ensure the AEV is electrically safe, and one environmental engineer to determine how the design of the AEV will help the environment. All members of the team also work together to market our ideas and keep the website up to date.
