The WGSS Anti-Racism Committee Presents: Talking Race in the Classroom

Recent political events have led to explosive public debates about race and racism in our country. What effect do these public debates have on college courses that teach students about race? What can students expect in such classes? Instructors from the Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) will discuss their approach to teaching race and racism in their classes and will take questions from students who might feel apprehensive or curious about learning the subject matter in college. Students from all majors at OSU are particularly encouraged to attend.

Guisela Latorre, Associate Professor WGSS
Juno Parreñas, Assistant Professor WGSS
