Spring 2024 Upcoming Important Dates

• Feb. 1:
  • EHE Graduate Associate applications due
• Feb. 2:
  • Last day to drop a course using online registration and without receiving a “W” on record | Spring Full Term
  • Last Day of 50% Refund Period | Spring Full Term
• Feb. 9:
  • Last date to drop a course without petitioning | 7-week Session 1
• Feb. 19:
  • Summer 2024 Course Registration Opens – refer to Buckeye Link for individual student enrollment appointment window

EHE GA Application Now Open

• Applications are due February 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
• If you are a returning GA, you must submit a completed application. Renewal of contracts is not guaranteed for those who previously held positions.
• Academic performance, prior GA performance, availability of funds and need for services, student eligibility, and progress towards degree completion are all taken into consideration when determining position availability and assignment.
• Submission of an application does not guarantee that you will be offered a GA position.

2024 EHE Research Forum: Registration Open

We have scheduled three oral presentation sessions and three poster sessions, featuring over 100 projects!  We will also be serving lunch. Our lunch keynote speaker this year is Dr. Dorinda Gallant, Associate Professor of Quantitative Research, Evaluation and Measurement in the Department of Educational Studies in the College of Education and Human Ecology, and the Director and co-PI of The Ohio Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation.

Register for the event, even if you are only able to stay part of the day – although we hope that you will plan on staying the entire day!

Reminder for International Graduate Students Concerning Full Time Enrollment

Full-time enrollment for graduate students is defined as:

• Graduate students: 8 credit hours total; in person must be at least 5 credits.
• Graduate students on a fellowship: 12 credit hours total; in person at least 9 credits
• Post-Candidacy Students: 3 credit hours minimum; No online allowable

Federal regulations specify that while students can be enrolled in as many online credits as they would like, international students cannot use more than three (3) online credits to count toward their full-time enrollment minimums.

Are you graduating?  Are you cost conscious?  If you answered yes to any of these, you should join Student Legal Services for their Estate Planning and Advanced Directives presentation.  SLS Managing Director, Molly Hegarty will explore the different options you have for estate planning and advanced directives and answer questions you have about the documents and process for drafting.  Private attorneys charged hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, to draft these documents.  Come learn about them so that you can take care of drafting them with SLS and give yourself and your loved ones peace of mind.
