The Graduate School is excited to invite you to have your graduate and professional students, as well as alumni, nominate graduate faculty for this year’s Graduate Faculty Mentor Award (GFMA). You might know that January is National Mentor Month, which is a great time to recognize graduate faculty mentoring efforts.
For this award, students are asked to write a nomination letter describing the mentorship they received from faculty. In the nomination letter, they can share impactful mentoring stories, describe how their mentor helped them feel a sense of belonging, empowered them to upskill their future resiliency, or supported networking for their future growth and employment opportunities. Nominations are accepted from February 1-29, 2024.
Nominations are accepted from presently enrolled graduate and professional students or from alumni of any of your graduate programs. Nominating a graduate faculty member for the GFMA is a great way for students and alumni to recognize their faculty mentor’s contributions to their academic and professional development.
