Reflectance Sensors
Reflectance sensors are chips attached on the L-plate and wired to the Arduino board. They detect how many times a reflecting material passes in from of them. Using the Arduino programming system, Division D is able to run the motors at a power percentage continuously until the reflectance sensors have detected a number of marks on the wheel. A conversion factor is used to translate this into feet (refer to AEV controller glossary for more information). Pictured below
