Week 4 Meeting

Team Meeting Notes (Week 4)

Team E met on the second floor of Drackett Tower at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14th. Grant Centlivre led the team in discussing what responsibilities are needed to complete the AEV project and Christian Meadows was in charge of taking notes. While many points were brought up about the responsibilities, the group decided that being prepared for each lab and dividing up work evenly were two key factors in completing this project. Additionally, Kody Williamson mentioned that the team should be setting weekly goals in order to achieve the overall goal for the AEV.

After the discussion, the team began to prepare for Lab 05. Christian Meadows went over concept screening and scoring because he completed the reading and lab quiz early. He showed the team an example of a screening score sheet and then went over the different types of decision methods. These included external decisions, product champion, multi-voting and several other methods. From there, Grant Centlivre discussed some of the benefits that concept scoring can have. He mentioned that a concept scoring is preferred over a screening matrix solely because it provides a better resolution. Grant also said that concept scoring creates certain criteria for the team to focus on for the final design. At the end of this discussion, Andy Carper talked about several parts to improve on the progress reports looking ahead. Andy assumed this job by choice. The meeting ended with the decision to meet again on Tuesday, February 21st, at 7:00 PM in Drackett Tower on the second floor.
