Progress Report Questions

Each motor operated as expected from the Sketchbook code based off “Scenario 1” in the preliminary document. When a command had the fans rotate, there was resistance, but began to rotate after enough power was applied. When the team had both fans rotate simultaneously, there was a delay between the two fans.

Coding will require more calculations than surface level because commands such as brakes do not stop the AEV. The brake command just stops the fans, but the AEV continues to move. Increasing and decreasing the power of the motors all depend on how fast the AEV is moving as well.

Since lab, the group noticed that the AEV did not move. The graphs show that even though there was power, the apparatus didn’t move. The group believes that not enough power was provided. If more power was coded, the AEV probably would’ve moved.
Information regarding each concept sketch can be found in the AEV designs and research tab.
