W8LT is dedicated to diversity and inclusivity as an Ohio State University student organization.
In order to advance the art of radio communications we must ensure accessibility and safety to those underrepresented in the amateur radio hobby.
W8LT does not condone or tolerate any kind of discrimination on the basis of race, age, ancestry, color, disability, gender identity or expression, genetic information, HIV/AIDS status, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, protected veteran status, socioeconomic status, nor does W8LT condone or tolerate any other discriminatory actions.
W8LT strives to provide access to ham radio licensing, resources, and equipment for students and community members regardless of their economic position. We recognize that the amateur radio hobby can be inaccessible due to expensive equipment and licensing fees. W8LT strives to offer an entry space for students and community members to get involved in the hobby without the need to purchase their own equipment.
For any questions regarding this inclusivity statement, please email W8LT’s faculty advisor Larry Feth at feth.1@osu.edu.
