- Transfer of Graduate Credit:
- PhD students may transfer credit from their master’s degree as a block of 30 credit hours towards their PhD.
- Master’s students may apply master’s credits taken at a different university toward their OSU master’s program so long as at least 80% of their master’s credits have been taken at OSU by the time of graduation.
- Graduate students may transfer up to 10 credits taken at OSU as a graduate-non-degree student toward their graduate degree.
- To perform any of these processes, students must complete the Transfer of Graduate Credit form on www.gradforms.osu.edu prior to their semester of graduation (and we advise as soon as possible). Review the Transfer of Graduate Credit Instructions document for specific instructions on how to perform these processes.
- Change of Advisor: Please use the Change of Advisor Form anytime you wish to change your faculty advisor or add a faculty co-advisor to your graduate study in Teaching and Learning.
- Course Permission Request Form: complete this form when seeking to take classes that require instructor permission (i.e., 7193, 7999, 8998, 8999).
- Curriculum Sheets: curriculum sheets list out specific course requirements for your program of study. Click here to access curriculum sheets for T&L endorsement | licensure only | certificate | EdS | MA | MEd | and PhD programs.
- Advising Sheets: using the curriculum sheet, advising sheets act as a guide to program requirements and can be used to help you construct a plan for your course of study for non-lock-step T&L graduate programs.
- Dissertation Approval Form: after you defend your dissertation proposal, complete the Teaching and Learning PhD Dissertation Approval Form, have your committee members approve it, and send it to TL-academicservices@osu.edu.
- Research Apprenticeship Proposal Form: the Research Apprenticeship in the T&L doctoral program gives students chances to gain one-on-one research experiences with faculty. Your faculty member may ask you to document your apprenticeship proposal using the Teaching and Learning Research Apprenticeship Proposal Cover Sheet. Once approved, send to TL-academicservices@osu.edu.
