The successful candidate will teach undergraduate lecture/lab courses in majors general biology and non-majors contemporary biology and/or plant/animal biology, ecology & evolution. Also, the candidate will Coordinate lab activities for courses with laboratory supervisor and other faculty.
Teaching other courses in the biology department as needed, serving as an academic advisor and participating in related student success activities are also expected. The candidate will participating in departmental academic assessment projects, participating in service, including serving on departmental, college, and university committees as well. Working collaboratively with other universities, and/or public/private schools along with
assisting with other departmental activities is another important responsibility. This may include Biology Club, Biology Lab Days, and recruitment/retention activities.

They will also have opportunities to teach other courses in the areas of their expertise at both the undergraduate and graduate level, serve on graduate student thesis committees, and participate in the department’s many school- and community-based projects and partnerships.
