The Department of Writing Studies in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track or tenured faculty position beginning fall semester 2024 (8/26/2024). Appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor, Advanced Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor. We seek an outstanding candidate with an active research agenda in writing pedagogy that engages key issues in the field particularly relating to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access. The University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts has a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we are interested in candidates who can support and expand this commitment. The successful candidate will be able to contribute across our programs in first-year writing, writing studies, rhetoric, and technical communication, including teaching and advising both undergraduate and graduate students, ranging from first-year students to PhD. Additionally, we are seeking someone with strong, long-term interest in writing program administration, specifically FYW. The successful candidate will also have interest in teaching and advising both undergraduate and graduate students, ranging from first-year students to PhD students.
