Assistant/Associate Professor of Reading Education

The College of Education, Health and Human Sciences at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is seeking applicants for two tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor positions in K-5 reading education in the Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education (TPTE). The faculty will be responsible for research and grant writing, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Literacy program, and service. One of the faculty positions will have primary expertise in Grades K-2 with an emphasis on code-focused reading skills and oral language. The other faculty position will have primary expertise in Grades 3-5 with an emphasis on meaning-focused reading and writing skills.

The Knoxville campus of the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University. Both positions will begin in Fall 2024.
