Assistant Professor — Curriculum and Instruction

The College of Education and Human Services at Lindenwood University is seeking for an Assistant Professor in Curriculum & Instruction. Faculty and instructors are responsible for curriculum, teaching, service, scholarship, and related administrative activities that support the mission, vision, and values of the university. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 4 courses (12 credit hours) each semester on reading, elementary and early childhood. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online. All Lindenwood faculty members are expected to advise and mentor students, continue to develop their expertise through research and scholarship, and participate in faculty governance and campus life.

The Assistant Professor of Curriculum & Instruction is a full-time, 12-month faculty position that will begin August 2023. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until filled.

Instructor/Assistant Professor — Education Department, tenure-track if eligible, beginning August 2023. This is a full-time position with traditional face-to-face courses enhanced using Blackboard. Qualified candidates will be joining a dynamic faculty who are committed to excellent teacher preparation and partnerships with public schools. ECU is a student-centered regional state university located in Ada, Oklahoma. ECU offers thirty-three undergraduate baccalaureate degree programs in arts, business, education, mathematics, sciences, nursing, and the social sciences; and six master’s degrees in accounting, education, human resources, psychology, management, and water resources. ECU’s 4,200 (average) students come from 35 countries and 22 different states. About 65% of the 147 full-time faculty hold doctorates. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for 1) teaching in a variety of capacities and modalities 2) delivering quality instruction in Education courses for the Elementary, Early Childhood Education, and/or professional education undergraduate programs and at the graduate level, 3) advising program candidates, 4) pursuing a focused area of research and scholarship that culminates in publications, professional presentations, and submission of grant proposals, 5) holding active membership in relevant professional associations/organizations, 6) serving on committees and participating in official activities at the department, college, and university levels, and 7) collecting data and completing accreditation and university reports, as requested by the dean.
