The State University of New York at Fredonia is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Literacy Education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Chair, the successful candidate will:

  • Teach literacy-focused courses at the undergraduate level and graduate level online including possible field-based responsibilities;
  • Serve as the coordinator of all literacy programs and courses;
  • Maintain an active scholarly agenda, including regular conference presentations and publications;
  • Contribute to curriculum development and refinement;
  • Provide academic advisement to graduate Literacy students;
  • Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession;
  • Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach the equivalent of seven undergraduate courses (typically 3 in Fall term, 3 in Winter term, and 1 in May term) including courses in the professional core and other education offerings or general education courses dependent upon departmental needs and candidate’s qualifications; 40 hours per five years of co-teaching in PK-12; advising, scholarship, and service duties as appropriate for the candidate’s appointment.

The Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education at Ohio University invites applicants for the Adjunct Instructor position to serve as University Clinical Educators. This position requires on-site presence in Athens, OH.

We are accepting resumes for potential openings in Teacher Education for the spring semester of academic year 2022-2023 and the fall semester of academic year 2023-2024. The need for additional positions is undetermined at this time and is dependent on operational need including enrollment and staffing. The Instructor serving as a University Clinical Educator is an integral part of The Patton College of Education faculty and assumes responsibility for mentoring, supervising, and instructing Clinical and Professional Interns. The UCE works closely with the Coordinator of Professional Internships in Teaching and is expected to keep the PI Coordinator fully informed of the day-to-day operation of the internships and the progress of the interns assigned to them. The UCE must become familiar with the placement schools and their communities.
