The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Instruction to teach in Teacher Education Undergraduate and Graduate Programs for the Fall 2023 semester. The incumbent in this tenure-track position which will be responsible for teaching four courses per semester, program coordination, supporting advisement of majors, and engaging in high quality applied research/scholarly activities and grant writing. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in curricular improvements and service and community engagement including, but not limited to development, community development, service learning, recruiting, program assessment, accreditation, student advisement, and committee leadership. Summer school teaching is possible, but is dependent on budget and course demand.

Expectations for tenure-track faculty at UNT-Dallas include excellent teaching, research, and service, resulting in contributions equivalent to a four-course load each semester. This workload expectation can be fulfilled through a combination of teaching, high-quality research and scholarship, service and program development. Faculty are expected to participate in such service activities as curriculum development, online course development, student recruiting and advising, program assessment, program accreditation, program leadership, coordinating service learning, and committee leadership. The successful applicant will also be expected to provide instruction in a full range of undergraduate courses and specialized graduate courses.
