The Department of Teacher Education and Administration (TE&A) in the College of Education at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure track Lecturer position, beginning Fall 2022 semester. The position is one that will teach bilingual education; literacy education; social studies, math, and/or science education. The successful candidate will join Curriculum & Instruction faculty in a dynamic undergraduate program leading to EC-6, and secondary teacher certification and in the department’s Masters programs, working closely with department colleagues to reshape and reimagine education from critical perspectives. This includes (but is not limited to) preparing and cultivating equity-oriented educators who are thinking about issues of racial equity, linguistic justice, ecological sustainability, and disability rights. Of particular interest to the College of Education are candidates who are committed to improving people’s lives through powerful learning, social-emotional wellness, physical health, civic engagement, and equity-centered education.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach curriculum and instruction courses (offered at the UNT campus and other off-site locations and online); supervise undergraduate students in internships as needed; and provide service to the Department, College, University, community constituencies, and professional organizations. Summer teaching is contingent on student demand and funding.
