The Reading Specialist shall serve in the Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services (OASIS) within the Undergraduate Student Success Center (USSC) as the learning facilitator for all initiatives related to student academic success in reading literacy and shall work with other OASIS staff for the efficient and productive operation of the OASIS.

The Coordinator of MU Teacher Academy Partnerships/Regional Education Cohort will coordinate the design, implementation, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of the Regional Primary Education Cohort (PK5) program located at the Miami University Hamilton Regional campus; coordinate the design, implementation, monitoring, professional development, and ongoing evaluation of Miami University Teacher Academy Partnership to increase recruitment of diverse and highly qualified teacher candidates who will enroll in the Department of Teacher Education (EDT) at Miami University via three options: Oxford-bound students, Regional relocating to Oxford students, and Regional Cohort students (all four years at the Regionals). Acts as single point of contact for all information concerning this program and its activities; identify and engage in professional development opportunities that align with and promote the EDT mission and vision within Teacher Academy Partnership schools and other EHS/EDT partner schools (e.g., Urban Cohort schools, Douglass Elementary) to further deep partnership work within the department and college; identification and submission (in collaboration with Miami Universities grants office) of applications for grants from the federal government and public and private sources.

The Columbus Torah Academy in Columbus, Ohio (www.torahacademy.org), is looking for a part-time science teacher for the remaining 2022 academic school year. This can possibly grow into a position for next year as well. Columbus Torah Academy, an independent K-12 Jewish day school accredited by ISACS, is located on the east side of Columbus on a private campus.
The open position is for a part-time science teacher. The 9th grade Advanced Biology class meets daily from 2:35-3:17pm. (Friday from 12:58-1:27). Columbus Torah Academy is an independent college preparatory school with approximately 80 students in the upper school (grades 7-12). Our classes are small, and our teachers enjoy getting to know their students well.
