Assistant/Associate Professor – Reading & Literacy
The department of Literacy Studies, English Education, and History Education in the College of Education at East Carolina University (ECU) is seeking applicants for two tenure/tenure-track, nine-month, full-time, reading/literacy faculty positions, one of which is focused on early literacy. Candidates from historically underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. The position begins August 2022. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
Responsibilities include teaching a variety of undergraduate and/or graduate literacy courses in face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats; teaching residency courses; supervising practicum and/or internship experiences; building connections with local schools; and collaborating within the department and across the college to strengthen course and program alignment.
