The College of Education at Wayne State University invites applications for part-time instructor pool positions in Reading, Language, and Literature Education to begin fall 2021. The successful candidate will join the Division of Teacher Education (TED), which attracts faculty, staff, and students who are committed to urban education and social justice. Applicants should indicate whether they are suited for teaching PK-6 or 5-12 English Language Arts education courses, and specifically whether they are suited for teaching secondary literacy in the content areas. Successful candidates will be contacted when there are open courses which they are qualified to teach. Candidates should be able to:

Teach elementary and/or secondary literacy methods class to initial teacher certification candidates;
Prepare courses for online, hybrid, or face-to-face delivery, as circumstances warrant;
Develop and prepare semester-specific syllabi in alignment with officially approved course syllabi;

Also includes teaching graduate level mathematics education courses and undergraduate and graduate courses related to teaching in diverse classrooms. Assisting in masters and doctoral student advising and engaging in scholarship and service focused on supporting Latinx students in educational settings.

The School of Education at the University of Cincinnati seeks an Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Instruction. This position requires teaching, research, and service in upper-elementary or middle childhood mathematics education, and in preparing teachers for diverse classrooms. Reporting to the MGSE department chair, the Clinical Assistant Professor position primarily focuses upon teaching secondary education courses at the undergraduate level and supervising teacher candidates. The teaching requires the modeling of effective instructional practices for diverse student populations and the use of instructional technology in face-to-face, hybrid, and online learning environments. Supervision responsibilities may require in-person observation of teacher candidates in local public school classrooms and remote supervision using videos and commentary platforms. In addition, the position involves collaborating with faculty across the College of Education and performing service to the department, college, University, regional schools, and the profession. The position is a 10-month, non-tenure-track appointment, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
