The Ohio University Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education, Department of Teacher Education is accepting applications for two positions as a non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Instruction position with expertise in Moderate-Intensive support needs. Candidates should have expertise related to the identification and provision of services for individuals with moderate-intensive support needs. Additional expertise in autism or planning for and provision of post-school transition services for individuals with significant support needs is preferred. Candidates will assume primary roles in the delivery of the Moderate-Intensive face-to-face undergraduate and online graduate licensing programs, and potential development of an autism certificate program. Candidates must be committed to teaching excellence, to a clinical approach to teacher education, and to service delivery within inclusive settings. We expect that candidates will support our mission of developing life-long learners and strong advocates; providing co-taught, field-intensive, interdisciplinary experiences; and serving diverse individuals using an assets-based viewpoint.

Responsibilities: Position responsibilities include face-to-face undergraduate and online graduate teaching; advising, and field supervision, specifically in the area of moderate to intensive needs; service to college, department, program, and field-based professionals; and collaboration with colleagues to ensure program quality and maintain CAEP accreditation.
