Non-Tenure, Language Faculty

The Department of Liberal Arts at the Juilliard School seeks applicants for a full-time, non-tenure-track, faculty member to teach first-year courses in any two of the following languages: French, Italian, and German. A strong background in ESL is preferred. Ideal candidates will have experience of successful teaching (at least three years of teaching experience as instructor of record), demonstrative knowledge of second language development and pedagogy and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies (staff, students, faculty, and administrators) with diplomacy and tact

The successful candidate will be expected to teach six courses per year. Applicants must have Ph.D. in hand. While Juilliard does not grant tenure, new faculty can expect, after two years of service on annual contracts, to earn renewable three-year contracts
