Senior Academic Advisor
Fosters student success by defining and implementing proactive strategies that help students stay on track to fulfill their educational goals; advises students on University policy and procedures, program and degree requirements, and related academic matters; assists in coordination and execution of student orientations; coordinates orientation advising activities, redesigns activities and materials, manages logistics, assigns tasks to colleagues; coordinates with other units and central orientation for planning and delivery; teaches student survey course; updates course materials and recommends and helps implement course improvements; recommends strategic course adjustments and trains other advisors on how to teach course; mentors new advisors and provides leadership in advising community; participates in student engagement and recruitment activities on behalf of the college and department; other duties as assigned.
