The Education Program Coordinator provides coordination of activities for Moot Court, CLE and the Program on Law and Leadership (PLL) within the Moritz College of Law. This position has responsibilities for coordinating all internal, regional, and national moot court, mock trial, negotiations and representation in mediation competitions. Duties include making travel and lodging arrangements, recruiting and training judges, supervising student administrators and coordinating CLE’s. Ensures adherence to competition rules, and resolving any competition-related disputes; coordinates the activities of the Moot Court Governing Board, including the recruitment and selection of student members, the division of responsibilities among members, and the resolution of disputes among and involving members. This position also works closely with the faculty director for the Program on Law and Leadership (PLL) developing ideas and conducting research; leads outreach to potential guest speakers, workshop service providers; organizes logistics for events with guest speakers and workshops; arranges and manages calendar or events; writes and edits activity reports and publications, including promotional materials; programmatic guides, website text; interacts with students and prospective students regarding the PLL; pursues new relationships in the legal community to further connect Moritz to lawyer-leaders; provides general administrative support for program. May teach legal analysis and writing and legal practice and perspectives courses. Prepares and ensures adherence to the annual college budget for moot court related activities.
